Airdrop Guide
ZeroFi is a cross-chain bridging protocol designed to bring non-EVM assets like Bitcoin and Monero into Ethereum-based DeFi. The core product wraps native assets into ERC-20 tokens called zAssets, maintaining 1:1 backing and convertibility. This addresses a real gap: billions in BTC, XMR, and similar assets sit outside DeFi simply because they cannot natively interact with EVM-compatible chains. ZeroFi's non-custodial approach lets holders access lending, borrowing, trading, and liquidity provision without liquidating their original positions. The protocol is currently in testnet with no external funding raised to date. The ZFI token has not launched, though the team has confirmed an airdrop allocating 10% of total ZFI supply to early participants. Additional tokenomics include 20% for community incentives and 30% reserved for liquidity mining and staking rewards. Mainet is expected at the end of Q4 2025.
How to Participate in the ZeroFi Airdrop
<pQualification centers on using ZeroFi's testnet bridge and, later, interacting during the early beta phase of mainnet. Below is a practical walkthrough to establish eligibility and build meaningful on-chain activity.
- Fund a wallet with Sepolia test ETH. Use any Sepolia faucet to get test ETH for covering gas on the testnet. Raby is the recommended browser wallet for this process.
- Acquire a small amount of XMR. Download Cake Wallet (mobile or MacOS) and create both an ETH and an XMR wallet inside the app. Purchase a small amount of ETH from an exchange, withdraw it to your Cake Wallet ETH address, then use the in-app swap feature to convert ETH to XMR. The recommended amount for testing is no more than 0.001 XMR.
- Add the zXMR custom token to your browser wallet. In Rabby, navigate to Custom Networks, select Token, and add the zXMR contract address:
0x0150614896eea01ce6Cb09C63B09d65fFf810A43. - Wrap XMR into zXMR via the ZeroFi bridge. Go to ZeroFi's bridge interface, select XMR as the source asset and zXMR as the destination. Enter your Ethereum wallet address and click Initialize Bridge. Wait for the XMR deposit address to appear, then send0.001 XMR or less from Cake Wallet. Confirm the wrap transaction once prompted. Please verify the token approval amount; authorize only the specific amount required for the transaction.
- Unwrap zXMR back to XMR. Reverse the direction by selecting zXMR as the source and XMR as the destination. This demonstrates full round-trip bridge functionality on your wallet's activity record.
- Repeat bridge cycles over time. Perform multiple wrap and unwrap transactions across different sessions rather than batching them all at once. Sustained activity spread over days or weeks typically signals genuine usage to allocation algorithms.
- Stay active through mainnet launch. When ZeroFi transitions to early beta mainnet (targeted end of Q4 2025), repeat the bridging process with real assets on mainnet to extend your qualification window.
A useful ongoing strategy is to combine bridge activity with community engagement on ZeroFi's Telegram and Twitter channels. While social activity is not a confirmed criterion, many protocols retroactively reward community contributors.
Potential Reward
ZeroFi has confirmed that 10% of total ZFI supply will be distributed to early participants who interact with the testnet bridge and the early beta mainnet. An additional 20% is earmarked for community incentives and 30% for liquidity mining and staking rewards post-launch. However, the team has not disclosed exact per-wallet allocations, claim dates, or the precise formula used to calculate individual distributions. Until these details are published, the exact dollar value of the reward remains unknown.
Airdrop Requirements
- Interact with the ZeroFi testnet bridge (wrap and unwrap zAsets).
- Hold a compatible Ethereum wallet (Rabby recommended).
- Use a small amount of real XMR (approximately 0.001 XMR) for testnet bridging transactions.
- Optionally participate during the early beta phase of mainnet to extend eligibility.
- No minimum transaction count has been specified, but multiple bridge cycles are likely beneficial.
Latest ZeroFi Airdrop Updates
ZeroFi remains in the ongoing testnet stage with the airdrop confirmed at10% of ZFI supply; mainet launch is expected at the end of Q4 2025, and no claim date or per-wallet allocation formula has been announced yet.
Risk
- No external funding. ZeroFi has raised no outside capital to date, which means there is less third-party validation of the protocol's viability and a higher chance the project could stall or pivot before token launch.
- Real asset requirement on testnet. Unlike most testnets that use purely synthetic tokens, ZeroFi requires a small amount of real XMR. While the suggested amount is minimal (0.001 XMR), any smart contract bug or bridge exploit could result in permanent loss of deposited funds.
- Unaudited contracts. No audit reports are referenced in available materials. Interacting with unaudited bridge contracts carries inherent smart contract risk.
- Indefinite timeline. The mainet target is the end of Q4 2025, but no hard launch date or token generation event date exists. Delays are common and could push eligibility confirmation far into the future.
- Allocation uncertainty. Without a published formula, there is no guarantee that time invested in testnet activity will translate into a meaningful token allocation.
FAQ
Do I need real cryptocurrency to qualify for the ZeroFi airdrop?
Yes. The testnet bridge requires a small amount of real XMR (0.001 XMR is recommended) to perform wrap transactions. You also need Sepolia test ETH for gas, which is free fromaucets.
When will the ZFI token launch and when can I claim the airdrop?
No specific launch date or claim date has been announced. The token will launch after testnet concludes and mainet goes live, which is targeted for the end of Q4 2025. Monitor official channels for updates.
Can I still qualify if I miss the testnet phase?
Yes. ZeroFi has confirmed that both testnet users and early beta mainnet participants are eligible, so there will be an extended qualification window once mainnet launches.
