Airdrop Guide

Bitfrost is a protocol operating on Hyperliquid that extends the network's spot market infrastructure. It enables native deposits, withdrawals, and the creation of new trading markets for assets that would otherwise remain idle within the Hyperliquid ecosystem. The protocol facilitates community-driven asset onboarding and revenue sharing, aiming to position Hyperliquid as a broader spot trading venue. Bitfrost also contributes to network security through a distributed validator set staked with $HYPE, Hyperliquid's native token. On November 3, 2025, the project launched its first major integration with native Zcash (ZEC) support, allowing users to bridge and trade ZEC as bZEC on Hyperliquid's spot markets. While no funding rounds have been publicly disclosed and there is no confirmed token, Bitfrost introduced a points program that allocates rewards weekly, with early adopters receiving proportionally greater allocations than later participants.

How to Participate in the Bitfrost Airdrop

Note: This airdrop program has ended. The steps below document the participation process for reference purposes, in case future rounds are announced.

  1. Set up a compatible wallet. Install the Vultisig Extension for Chrome, complete the wallet setup, and securely store your recovery phrase. Navigate to "Manage Chains" within Vultisig, search for Zcash, and enable it to generate your ZEC address.
  2. Obtain ZEC tokens. Purchase ZEC from a supported exchange such as Binance and withdraw it to your Vultisig wallet address. Budget enough ZEC to cover bridging fees and trading activity.
  3. Bridge ZEC to Hyperliquid via Bitfrost. Visit the Bitfrost Bridge interface, connect your Vultisig wallet, enter the amount of ZEC to bridge, input your Hyperliquid address as the destination, and confirm the deposit. Please verify the token approval amount; authorize only the specific amount required for the transaction.
  4. Trade bZEC on Hyperliquid spot markets. Navigate to Hyperliquid's spot markets section and locate the bZEC trading pair. Execute regular trades to accumulate points in the trading activity category. Consistent, smaller trades over time can be more effective than a single large transaction.
  5. Maintain TVL. Rather than immediately selling all bridged assets, keep a portion deposited in Hyperliquid spot markets. The points system rewards TVL contribution as a separate category from trading.
  6. Withdraw when needed. Use the withdrawal function on the Bitfrost website to convert bZEC back to native ZEC by entering the amount and your Zcash wallet address.

Sustained participation strategy: The points system explicitly rewards early and consistent engagement. Splitting capital across multiple bridge transactions rather than a single deposit can increase point acrual. Monitor Bitfrost's official channels for announcements of new asset integrations beyond ZEC, as early activity on each new market may offer additional scoring opportunities.

Potential Reward

There is no confirmed token or airdrop mechanism. Bitfrost runs a weekly points program designed to reward early participants at a higher rate. Points programs in the crypto space often precede token distributions, but Bitfrost has not officially committed to a token launch or a conversion ratio between points and any future asset. Treat accumulated points as speculative.

Airdrop Requirements

  • Bridge ZEC to Hyperliquid through the Bitfrost Bridge interface.
  • Trade bZEC on Hyperliquid's spot markets.
  • Provide TVL by holding bridged assets in the ecosystem.
  • Use integrated partner services when available.
  • No $HYPE holding requirement for the points program (though $HYPE staking through Bitfrost's validator set is a separate activity).
  • Chain: Hyperliquid.

Latest Bitfrost Airdrop Updates

The Bitfrost points program has ended; ZEC was the first and currently only supported bridged asset, launched on November 3, 2025, with additional asset integrations indicated but not yet confirmed.

Risk

  • No confirmed token: Points may never convert to a tradable asset. Users spend real capital on gas and trading fees with no guarantee of a tangible return.
  • Bridge risk: Bridging assets across chains introduces smart contract and custodial risk. A vulnerability in the Bitfrost bridge could result in loss of deposited ZEC or bZEC.
  • Liquidity and slippage: bZEC is a wrapped representation of ZEC on Hyperliquid. Thin order books could lead to slippage during trading or difficulty exiting positions at fair value.
  • Program ended: The current airdrop status is listed as ended. There is no certainty that another round will be announced or that accumulated points carry forward.
  • Ecosystem dependency: Bitfrost's utility depends on Hyperliquid's continued growth and security. Any systemic issue with Hyperliquid directly affects assets bridged through Bitfrost.

FAQ

Is the Bitfrost airdrop confirmed?

No. Bitfrost has run a weekly points program, but there is no official confirmation of a token launch or a mechanism that converts points into tokens. The program's current status is ended.

Do I need to hold $HYPE to earn points?

Holding $HYPE is not required for the points program. $HYPE is used separately for staking in Bitfrost's distributed validator set, which enhances network security and generates yield but is distinct from the bridging and trading point categories.

Can I bridge assets other than ZEC?

As of the latest available information, ZEC is the only supported asset. The Bitfrost team has indicated additional integrations are planned, but no other assets have been publicly confirmed yet.
